The President of the European Democracy
Forum Walter Schwimmer and the Founding President of the Forum Francis
Rosenstiel congratulated the new Secretary General of the Council of Europe
Thorbjörn Jagland and assured him of the full support of the European Democracy Forum.

Mr. Andreas Gross, Member of the Parliamentary
Assembly of the Council of Europe and of the Swiss Parliament (National
Council) was co-opted to the Board of the Forum.
